Reason 1: Short Circuit
The short-circuit is a common tool used for stopping any subwoofer. In emergency, it prevents the electrical signals’ passing into the Subwoofer. A short circuit also restrains the electrical, and current can’t go from reaching the Subwoofer.
The proper power which has in the wires can not be produced by the electromagnet for a short circuit, and the power won’t be able to drive the cone.
Reason 2: Driver Magnet Failure
Instead of an electromagnet, both the Woofer and the Subwoofer has a permanent magnet. T the bottom of the Subwoofer near a coil, a magnet stay just to act as an electromagnet. All signals provide voltage and current through the electromagnet.
By attracting the permanent magnet the electromagnet drives the cone and produces better sound. So, if the permanent magnet break for any reason, then automatically, the electromagnetic pole will stop working, and it can not deliver to create any sound correctly.
Reason 3: Con Seal Failure
Accurate frequency is very important in Woofer or subwoofer to produce good sound. That is why the air needs to move at Subwoofers in perfect frequency. The air shifts into the speaker’s cone back. Through the movement, it causes a pulling-pushing motion within the Subwoofer.
The cone is sealed with materials. So, if the cone gets damaged, then air cannot move properly in the Subwoofer. So if the cone seal gets damaged or breaks or falls in a lousy impact on it, then the Subwoofer will stop working.
Reason 4: Lack Of power
If there is not providing the right power of frequency through the wires to the electromagnetic coil in Subwoofer then the permanent magnet will not work properly for lacking power.
Reason 5: The Effects Of Magnets On Speaker

Step 1: First, Check The Connection And Speaker Wires
When a malfunction occurs, at first, you should examine every connections point of the amplifiers, speakers, and receivers for anomalies.
If you can see any connections cable or any wires become damaged, bring the new one and change the parts to recover your Subwoofer. You should carefully position the parts if you try to change them by yourself.
Step 2: Check Fuse, Outlets, And Power Cables
Almost all the Subwoofer devices have a standby Led which indicates active power. If it will not work, then first check the securely plugged, which stays in a wall socket, and then check the power strip. If the plugs have any problem, then the wires cannot supply the power to the Subwoofer.
You should also check all the Switches. After reviewing these, if the Subwoofer still doesn’t give any proper response, give the plug into other Outlet.
Many Subwoofers are equipped with a fuse, and the fuse may require removal of the black plate sometimes and sometimes may not require.

Step 4: Verify Connections, Set The Volume, And Turn On The Subwoofer
Re-check all the settings and connections. After verifying all, turn on the Subwoofer. Check the volume levels on the Subwoofer prior to sending audio inputs to an amplifier or a receiver. At first, keep the volume low and then increase it gradually. Deter the volumes when the Subwoofer works without issues.
